Salento

The Salento certainly needs no introduction by now: a splendid area, rich in history, traditions and culture, where every municipality, even the smallest, has an important monument to see, a church, a castle or a baronial palace, and where the countryside is a constant surprise of landscapes and rural architecture. Salento is a natural resource with its well-preserved coastline and some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy.

The same applies to its capital, the city of Lecce, whose splendid historic centre is dominated by Baroque but also by evidence of its Roman and Renaissance past. It is also famous for its "movida", one of the liveliest and most brilliant in southern Italy, with entertainment and clubs of all kinds. Lecce is also a shopping capital, with the trendiest national and international labels all present in the city's new centre.
